Strategic Level - Strategic Communication (CS4)

The course is designed to strengthen a student’s capacity to develop in soft skills such as negotiations & conflict resolutions, advanced business report writing, public speaking skills, personal branding & business etiquette & communicate in various situations confidently.

This is a soft skills development session in which 3 assessments will be carried out throughout the programme as continuous assessments.

Every year just after releasing the results of a particular batch of CS3. (Please refer to the scheduled CS4 programmes under each batch on CA website under MELC)

Students should complete this course before applying for Integrated Case Study (SL5).

Basically 3 intakes

Students should register online only & hard copies of application forms are not accepted. All instructions how to register online are given on the CA website under Multimedia English Language Center(MELC).

No. They could contact the particular Course Co-ordinator where they will be sent a google form to apply for the programme.

This programme is conducted in groups of 30.  Once the programme dates are confirmed students are informed through a mail. They may select the convenient time slots for them. However registration for a particular batch will be on first-come first-served basis.

Minimum of 2 ½-3 months. This course is conducted in the form of a workshop with sessions in Public Speaking Skills, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Skills, Personal Branding and Business Etiquette and Advanced Business Report Writing  Skills.

Course fee – Rs. 8,000/=

Normally fees cannot be carried forward from one batch to the other. In the event of dropping out from half-way through the programme it’s necessary to re-register with a subsequent batch.

Yes, It’s compulsory to complete all 04 modules within the same batch & not possible to carry forward marks/completion from one batch to the other.

No, students can apply for CS4 only upon successful completion of CS3 exam.

Students can get certain number of exemptions as follows;

Exemptions from Speechcraft

  1. Students who have successfully followed Toastmasters International Speechcraft programme during the last 02 years.  They should provide the certificate of completion for verification.
  2. Students who have completed  Toastmasters International Speechcraft programme during last 2 years need to complete only the evaluations of 2 speeches to validate their skills.
  3. Gavel club members who have completed a minimum of 07  speeches in Competent communicator manual should complete only the final assessment of presentation. Should provide a letter of completion from the particular club.
  4. Existing Toastmasters who have completed a minimum of  06 speeches in Competent communicator manual. Should provide a letter of completion from the particular club.
  5. Overseas students who have completed minimum of 02 speeches as per the evaluations of the Speechcraft, in joining a Toastmasters club overseas. Should provide a letter of completion from the particular club.
  6. Students who have a higher competency may validate their skills

Exemptions from Business Report Writing

Students who have obtained an exemption from the placement test of business report writing module conducted by CA Sri Lanka.
