The Chapter is an affiliated overseas member body of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka). The Chapter was formed following the Inaugural General Meeting held on 27th September 2020.
The purpose of the Chapter is to promote cohesion and camaraderie among CA members, providing opportunities for members to enhance their capabilities, and contribute towards initiatives that benefit the broader Sri Lankan and Australian community. Any CA Sri Lanka member currently living in Australia is eligible to become a member of the Chapter.
CA SRI LANKA - AUSTRALIA CHAPTER HOLDS THIRD AGM
The Australia Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) held its third Annual General Meeting on 24 November 2023 in Melbourne.
Welcoming the members, Australia Chapter President Anuruddha Dias, stated that in line with the theme of the year, “Broadening The Horizons”, the Chapter made significant progress in delivering member CPD events, social responsibility and collaborative events. During the AGM, the Annual Report was presented, portraying the achievements of the Chapter.
Krishan Kanagarajah, who was appointed as the incoming President of the Chapter, emphasised its vision and future roadmap and stated that with the strong foundation laid over the past three years, the Chapter would be “Navigating the future” in the coming year. He further stated that the Chapter would organise its annual Chartered Ball in 2024, Chapter family day, members conference, CPD events and expand services to members across Australia and strengthen collaboration with CA Sri Lanka.
The Executive Committee invites all the members living in Australia to get in touch with the Chapter and join the journey to make an impact on the CA Sri Lanka fraternity and the broader community.
