CA Sri Lanka KSA Chapter
CA Sri Lanka KSA Chapter was formed with the objective ‘developing the professional competence and integrity of CA Sri Lanka members as well as the members of the fellow professional bodies who are residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)’.
CA Sri Lanka KSA Chapter was established and approved by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka at its council meeting held on 30th November 2018.
The Chapter was formally launched at the inaugural ceremony held on 22 February 2019 at Ramada Hotel Jeddah, under the Patronage of the chapter, Mr. Azmi Thassim, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the KSA, Hon. Justice Abdul Salam, Consular General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah. The Keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Ebrahim Baeshen, Managing Partner, KPMG, Jeddah.
The KSA is the largest economy in the Arab World. Currently, there are around 100 Chartered Accountants residing in the KSA, spread across the Western, Eastern and Central regions who are holding prominent positions across top corporates in the KSA.
The objectives of the Chapter are:
- Enhance the professional competencies through CPD programs
- Provide an opportunity for social and community interaction
- Advocate and promote the value that the members add to the businesses
- Address the matters of professional interest in KSA and to offer suggestions for raising the standard and status of the profession
