The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) organised the inaugural debate competition on ‘Can Disruption Interrupt Accountants?’ which was organised to commemorate the International Accounting Day last year.
A total of six teams took part in the competition, representing CA Members, CA Students Society, CA Students, as well as Students from the University of Kelaniya and Ernst & Young.
Nipuna Kandanearachchi, Hashan Waduge, Sachindi Fernando and Kamidu Ravindra won the inaugural debate competition, while Sachindi Fernando from the winners team was also adjudged the Best Speaker at the competition.
