President of the International Federation of Accountants Ms. Rachel Grimes who was in Sri Lanka last week met with Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka at Temple Trees. During the meeting, matters pertaining to the development of the accounting profession as well as the role played by the three local accounting bodies; CA Sri Lanka, CMA Sri Lanka and AAT Sri Lanka in further strengthening the profession were discussed at length.
CA Sri Lanka's President Mr. Jagath Perera, Vice President Mr. Manil Jayesinghe, President of CMA Sri Lanka, Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, President of AAT Sri Lanka, Mr. Jazri Magdon Ismail as well as several other officials and Chairman of NHRDC Mr. Dinesh Weerakkody were also present at the meeting.
