Indian strategy expert to share insights at CA Sri Lanka’s strategic analysis workshop for change makers

Indian strategy expert, Prof. Ganesh N. Prabhu will help Sri Lankan change makers become effective strategists and organization builders, during a two day workshop organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).

The workshop on ‘Strategic Analysis for Competitive Advantage’ on 01st and 02nd February 2017 at CA Sri Lanka aims to develop a good understanding of the analysis required and used for strategy formulation in companies using different implementation contexts to enable change makers and managers to become effective strategists and change agents within their organizations.

The programme is specially designed for change makers and managers who develop and implement effective strategies that drives business and organizational growth helping an organization to position itself in the local and global arena.

A Professor of Strategy at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, Prof. Prabhu will share his insights on Strategic Thinking, Strategic Leadership, Business Models and Business Strategy, Customer Insight for Competitive Positioning and Strategy Synthesis for Implementing Strategy during the two days. His presentations will be further complemented with text cases and video cases, while he will also involve the participants in discussions during the workshop.

In 2015, he jointly won the Flame-ET Cases Best Case Writer Award in 2015 and earlier won the Best Young Teacher Award and the Best Research Paper Award from the Association of Indian Management Schools.

The workshop will be broken into five sessions covering Strategic Thinking including a case on Alexander; Strategic Leadership with a video case on Sticker Shock; Business Models and Business Strategy with a set of video cases on Max Delivery and Tesco; Customer Insight for Competitive Positioning with case Basket Option: Beyond Investments; and the fifth session will be on Strategy Synthesis for Implementing Strategy with cases on IKEA in China.

Prof. Prabhu has a PhD in strategy from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and his areas of research and teaching are product innovation, strategy, qualitative research and entrepreneurship. He has been invited to conduct many top management programmes and has led top management team visioning workshops. He conducts sessions and has designed and led many executive programmes on business strategy and product innovation at IIM Bangalore.
