SMP Capacity Building

Small & Medium Sized Practitioners (SMPs) performs a great role in the accountancy and auditing profession as they provide services to the majority of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises(SMEs) and even some of the listed companies in the country. In general, the majority of SMPs’ revenue is generated by provision of traditional statutory compliance services to SMEs; including compliance, audit, and taxation.

With the objective of building the capacity of SMPs to provide credible and quality service to SMEs, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka has taken several initiatives to update the technical knowledge of the Small and Medium Sized Practitioners.

The Council has set up the SMP Capacity Building Task Force with the objective of enhancing the capacity among the Small and Medium sized Practitioners by providing continuous professional guidance as well as introducing best practices.
