CA Sri Lanka to power 2014 AAT conference

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) will power this year’s conference of the Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) which will be held on 1st and 2nd October 2014.

CA Sri Lanka signed on as a Strategic Partner for AAT’s conference which will be held on Governance, Accounting and Performance (GAP) at Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

In its capacity as one of the largest tertiary education providers in the country with over 44,000 students, CA Sri Lanka believes the tie up with AAT as an important strategic move that will pave the way to produce more highly-skilled accounting professionals who will serve both in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Mr. Arjuna Herath, President of CA Sri Lanka emphasized that AAT is one of the fastest and most reliable routes to become a Chartered Accountant, and AAT and CA Sri Lanka shares a very strong relationship as two leading tertiary education providers in the country specialsing in the accounting education.

“CA Sri Lanka is truly delighted to be onboard as Strategic Partner to give leadership for this year’s AAT Conference. I believe this will be the beginning of a very fruitful professional partnership between AAT and CA Sri Lanka,” he added.

Mr. Aruna Alwis, Chief Executive Officer of CA Sri Lanka emphasized that the partnership will be a stepping stone towards ensuring enhanced standards of the accounting profession in Sri Lanka, by giving the required leadership to accounting students and ensuring they become fully-fledged Chartered Accountants.
