CA Sri Lanka workshop to edify professionals on how to improve business with Google Apps

The many benefits of Google Apps and how it could help businesses develop and improve will be the focus at a workshop organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) on 11th June 2014.

The workshop which will feature several local and foreign experts on the subject will address how businesses can improve productivity while saving costs with the use of Google Apps, and also reduce IT management overheard and licensing costs.

The morning workshop which will be held at CA Sri Lanka, Colombo 7 will also educate participants on how to move away from conventional infrastructure that inhibits innovation and collaboration while also helping improve employee productivity which will help the organisation achieve better success.

The programme will feature presentations from Rohan Jayaweera, Country Consultant of Google Sri Lanka / Maldives who will speak on Google Apps for Business, while Clehan Pulle, CEO of Finetech will speak on improving efficiency and how to save cost with the use of Google Apps.

The programme will be further complemented with an introduction to video conferencing by Anna Smith, SMB Country Manager for Google Apps who will join the programme via Google Hangout from Sydney, Australia, and a final presentation by Dumindra Ratnayake, former CEO of Etisalat who will speak on sustainable business growth. The programme will conclude with a question and answer session featuring Rohan Jayaweera, Anna Smith, Clehan Pulle, Dumindra Ratnayake and Manju Ariyaratne.

Google Apps is a service from Google that provides independently customizable versions of several Google products using a domain name provided by the customer. It features several web applications with similar functionality to traditional office suites, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, Drive, Groups, News, Play, Sites, Talk, and Wallet.

The event is organised by the IT faculty of CA Sri Lanka.
