International CA Student’s Conference

This is an event, which provides access for CA Sri Lanka students to a forum of guest speakers and gives them an opportunity to question prominent figures on the happenings in the business community. Prominent personalities and intellectuals from various professional fields have graced the occasion as chief guests. Further Student delegates from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and India who are members of South Asian Federation of Accounts (SAFA) are taking part in our conference representing their accounting bodies. Students from other professional bodies like ACCA, CIMA, and AAT are also invited to interact with us to share experiences and knowledge.

Overview

The 29th International CA Students’ Conference will be held on 8th of April 2015 at Kingsbury Hotel – The Balmoral. This one day professional development program focuses on various issues and vital aspects relating to current business and economic environments which goes beyond the traditional classroom work and forms a part of our overall education and personal development. Thus, this year’s conference is themed as Train, Ignite, Inspire carving a path for the CA Students to visualize, seek and work towards sustainable development while improving as an individual to meet the competitive corporate world ahead with much vigour and success.

At this event, investment and industry experts, corporate executives, and other luminaries will present their perspectives on the changing global economic, political, competitive, and investment environments. Prominent personalities such as Mr.Rohan Pallewatta [Executive Chairman- Lanka Harness Co (Pvt). Our Audience Profile

The conference has historically acted as a magnet for Chartered Accountancy students of major corporate bodies of the country, including both practicing and mercantile firms. Chartered Accountancy Strategic Level students and students from other professional accounting bodies along with several distinguished personalities of our profession will be gracing this event.

Further, with a view to strengthen the relationship between the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, student delegates and other invitees from the South Asian region have also been invited to take part and to present their papers at the conference under the SAFA students’ exchange program.
