The third event in the 2013/14 sports calendar of the Chartered Accountants Students’ Society (CAStudents’ Society), the Table Tennis tournament, was successfully held on the 22nd of September 2013, at the Royal College sports complex amidst a large gathering representing the respective member firms.
This year’s event was contested between 17 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams who battled it out for the championship. This was a significant increase in the number of participant teams compared to last year’s event.
The finals of the men’s and women’s categories were tightly contested and KPMG emerged as champions in both the men’s and women’s categories, whereas Jayasinghe & company and Ernst &Young emerges as runners up in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.

Second runners up in the men’s and women’s tournaments were secured by Jayasinghe & Company and Kreston MNS, respectively.
The next event, the Volley ball tournament will be held on the 6th of October from 8.30 a.m. onwards at the University of Jayewardenepura.
