CA Sri Lanka signs MoU with Microsoft

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) in its continuing efforts to partner with the world’s best, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU) with Microsoft Sri Lanka with the aim of providing world class IT education for the benefit of its members and students.

In its capacity as one of the country’s largest professional organizations and tertiary education providers, CA Sri Lanka conducts regular programmes aimed at developing the IT skills of its primary stakeholders.

The Institute, through its IT Faculty has been conducting various programmes and workshops focusing on MS Office, Advanced Excel, MS Navision for the benefit of its over 40,000 students

Additionally, workshops related to Microsoft applications are also conducted for the benefit of its 4300 members, who play a leading role in the country’s corporate sector.

CA Sri Lanka President, Mr. Sujeewa Rajapakse noted that the Institute continuously works towards partnering with the best and the agreement with Microsoft Sri Lanka is one such initiative in this continuing endeavor.

“With our partnership with Microsoft Sri Lanka, I believe we can provide our members and students world recognized IT qualifications alongside our famous chartered accountancy qualification,” he said.

“IT skills are an important tool to succeed in today’s business context and I believe our partnership with Microsoft will give our members and students the required leverage to help them succeed in their professional ambitions,” Mr. Rajapakse added.

Chief Executive Officer of CA Sri Lanka, Mr. Aruna Alwis emphasized that in the recent past, the Institute has been partnering with internationally recognized organizations in its continuing attempt to provide the best and the latest qualifications for the benefit of its stakeholders.

“I am certain our members and students will greatly benefit from this agreement we have signed with Microsoft Sri Lanka,” he added.
