The Bachelor of Applied Accounting General/Honours Degree programme offered by the SAB Campus of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) envisions to create unique employable graduates with the required skills, competencies, and industry knowledge to fulfill a successful accounting career. Upon successful completion of the degree programme, the students will gain extensive knowledge and the required skills in accounting practices.

This is the only degree programme in the country which enables students to gain specialized knowledge in the field of ‘Applied Accounting’.

The Bachelor of Applied Accounting General/Honours Degree programme is designed under two stages

· Bachelor of Applied Accounting General Degree – (3 Years)

· Bachelor of Applied Accounting Honours Degree -  (4 Years)

KEY FEATURES OF THE BACHELOR OF APPLIED ACCOUNTING DEGREE

• Approved by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka and Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka (MOE)
• Industry exposure through internship and placement at reputed organizations from third year onwards for two years.
• On completion of the Bachelor of Applied Accounting Degree, graduates are eligible to obtain exemptions from:

· CA Qualification: Complete only the strategic level of the CA programme and become a CHARERED ACCOUNTANT

· CIMA – Complete only 3 case studies and receive CIMA CGMA Membership

· ACCA - Complete only 5 subjects from ACCA and obtain ACCA Membership

BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT HONOURS IN BUSINESS ANALYTICS DEGREE

The Bachelor of Management Honours in Business Analytics Degree offered by SAB Campus of  CA Sri Lanka equips students on how to apply technical skills, statistical skills and other relevant skills and knowledge to develop solutions. The development of problem-solving abilities and skills in students are key components of this degree programme. Students will address problems by utilizing Business Analytics and apply concepts learned in their course modules by engaging in projects.

Students are required to undergo compulsory internships and engage in research study along with other course  work to understand the purpose of the degree programme.

The Bachelor of Management in Business Analytics Degree is designed under two stages:

• Bachelor of Management in Business Analytics Degree – (3 Years)
• Bachelor of Management Honours in Business Analytics Degree – (4 Years)

The key objective of the degree programme

• Provide competency in Business Analytics and Statistical Modeling for data-driven problems solving
• Equip students with Business Analytics, Business Environment, Computer, and IT skills
• Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning Skills to design and implement efficient, data-driven solutions to real-world problems
• Provide opportunities to transform findings from data resources into actionable business strategies
• Train students to reconcile conflicting project objectives, finding acceptable compromises within the limitations of cost, time, knowledge, existing systems, and organisations
• Train students for careers and advanced studies in a wide range of applied Business Analytics higher degrees
• Provide students with a broad foundation of knowledge and skills and cultivate a commitment to life-long learning

Admission Criteria

Three (03) simple passes in any stream at the G.C.E (Advanced Level) Examination or London Advanced Level Examination

All candidates will undergo a compulsory Bridging Programme (5 weeks) before being registered for the degree programme
