Accountants produced by CA Sri Lanka are recognised as dynamic business leaders, due to their multi-faceted technical skills and unique business acumen which helps them lead businesses successfully.

To counter the changing dynamics of the corporate world, and increasing challenges with the onset of digital disruption, big data, automation and robotics, CA Sri Lanka launched the Curriculum 2020 which will mould revolutionary Chartered Accountants by instilling strong business intelligence, IT and leadership skills to help revive corporate Sri Lanka.

Students who follow the CA program have the option of exiting as a Certified Business Accountant (CBA), Certified Corporate Accountant (CCA), or as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), which is the benchmark qualification offered by CA Sri Lanka. A student who completes the CBA qualification can engage as an accountant in the SME sector, while a CCA can serve as an accountant in a large organization. An ACA is CFO compatible in a larger organisation, along with the ability to take on a more dynamic leadership role including Chairman, Partner, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Meanwhile, CA Sri Lanka also entered into a historic agreement with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to offer a dual membership pathway for CA Students for the first time in the Institute’s history. Students who are eligible for the Strategic Level examination can embark on this pathway by completing only three subjects; Corporate Reporting, Strategic Business Management subjects and the Case Study of the ICAEW examination instead of three subjects of the CA Sri Lanka Curriculum to obtain membership from CA Sri Lanka and ICAEW simultaneously.
