The e-Library was officially launched by CA Sri Lanka President Mr. Jagath Perera in the presence of institute staff and officials. Speaking on the importance of the unique initiative, Mr. Perera said that in this day and age it is increasingly important to offer facilities of convenience not only to professionals but also to students. He also emphasized the increasing need for professional bodies to stay relevant and be on par with global bodies by launching initiatives in line with the continuing IT transformation which has impacted everyday life.

“The e-Library is an excellent platform as it will provide our members and even students access to a range of eBooks on a diverse range of subjects at a click of a button,” he said.

Mr. Perera noted that students who have to gain knowledge on a certain subject for their next lecture, will not need to come to the library physically anymore, and instead they can access the relevant publication digitally. “As a progressive institute, we have always been at the forefront in offering our multiple stakeholders a wide range of services which are modern and technologically savvy. The e-Library is one such effort in this continuing endeavor, as we compete to stand shoulder to shoulder with our global counterparts,” he added.
