CA Sri Lanka onboard as Strategic Partner for 2015 AAT Conference

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) will once again power the 2015 Conference of the Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) as a Strategic Partner.

As one of the largest tertiary education providers in the country with over 44,000 students, CA Sri Lanka believes the tie up with AAT to be an important strategic move that will pave the way to produce more highly-skilled accounting professionals who will serve the profession locally and internationally.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Arjuna Herath, President of CA Sri Lanka said that the institute was delighted to be onboard once again for the second consecutive year as a Strategic Partner to power the 2015 AAT Conference.

“AAT is one of the fastest and most reliable routes to become a Chartered Accountant, and AAT and CA Sri Lanka shares a very strong relationship as two leading tertiary education providers specializing in accounting education,” Mr. Herath said.   

Mr. Lalith T. Fernando, President of AAT noted that the partnership between CA Sri Lanka and AAT will definitely be a stepping stone towards strengthening the financial and accounting landscape in Sri Lanka.

“We see this strategic partnership with CA Sri Lanka as an important initiative to strengthen the financial and accounting landscape in the country,” he said. Mr. Fernando added that the conference will be held on 12th and 13th October 2015 under the theme ‘Fast Tracking Financial Success’ at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

Mr. Aruna Alwis, Chief Executive Officer of CA Sri Lanka emphasized that the partnership will make way to ensure enhanced standards of the accounting profession in Sri Lanka, by giving the required leadership to accounting students and ensuring they become fully-fledged Chartered Accountants.
