MAS Institute of Management and Technology to sponsor 35th National Conference of Chartered Accountants with gold sponsorship

The MAS Institute of Management and Technology (MIMT) recently joined hands with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka to power the 35th National Conference of Chartered Accountants with a gold sponsorship.

The National Conference scheduled to be held from 23rd to 25th October 2014 at the Water’s Edge will revolve around the thought provoking theme “Rethink to Revive” which will educate participants on the importance of moving ahead with time by re-thinking the existing business models and conventional wisdom in order to tackle a paradigm shift.

Mr. Misver Deane, Director of Mas Fabric Park speaking on the sponsorship said his company acknowledges the importance of being associated with Sri Lanka’s most widely recognized accounting body in its’ perseverance on the theme “Rethink to Revive” since MAS Fabric Park and MIMT is much passionate on its’ own strategy of shifting from excessive consumption of depleting energy resources plus high waste throwing out to the environment to value driven, safe and sustainable, knowledge driven circular systems.

“This year’s conference centering on the “Rethink to Revive” will help the corporates understanding the emerging trends in the global market space, which will shape the future global competitive market arena,” Mr. Deane said.

Welcoming MIMT onboard, Mr. Arjuna Herath, President of CA Sri Lanka noted that every year the national conference sees an impressive participation surpassing 1200 chartered accountants including top business leaders representing leading companies and thus, securing the support of organizations such as MAS was yet another important endorsement to the event’s standing.

“This year’s conference will delve in depth on the importance of moving from traditional business models, manufacturing processes and corporate thinking, which can also help increase the global consumption, while emerging markets specially in Asia playing a key role in helping drive this increase and shift. Therefore this year’s conference will be an important platform as it will teach chartered accountants to see themselves in a new light, helping them rethink and revive while being the catalyst of change,” he said.
