CA Sri Lanka seminar series focuses on demystifying Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation

The much talked about Enterprise Resource Planning was given renewed focus recently at seminar series titled ‘Demystifying Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation’ organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently.

The seminars conducted over seven sessions, featured subject specialists who educated the audience on a range of areas related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) functions, implementations, and benefits.

Session one on Exploring ERP focused on fundamentals and empowering business was presented by Yudy Kanagasabai, Chief Executive Officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), followed by the second session on pain free ERP implementation presented by Ramesh Shanmuganathan, Executive Vice President / Group CIO of John Keells Holdings PLC.

The third session on implementing the best suit ERP for your business was presented by MafazIshaq, Director of Calamander Capital, Singapore, followed by a presentation by Dr. Chandika Wickramathilaka,  Deputy General Manager of Alumex Ltd, who spoke on the Post Implementation Review of ERP.

The seminar series also featured Dr.Vickum Senanayake, General Manager of Aitken Spence Technologies Pvt Ltd who spoke on Oracle E-Business Suite - Let's Get to Know the Best (Tier I ERP), followed by the sixth session on SAP – Beyond ERP – Making your business run better, which was presented by Ransith Fernando, Head of SAP, MAS Holdings Pvt Ltd. This session was followed by a panel discussion featuring Chandima Cooray, CIO of Hemas Holdings, Ramesh Shanmuganathan, Executive Vice President / Group CIO of John Keells, and Vaibhav Jain, Regional Lead - SAP Cloud at SAP. The session was moderated by Michael Sathasivam, Business Head – Sri Lanka of SAP.

The seventh and final session was on unleashing business potential which covered local and global studies presented by Poorna Bandara, General Manager/Director Consulting Services South Asia of IFS. His presentation was followed by a panel discussion featuring Manohara Athukorala – COO Toyota Lanka Private Ltd, Huzefa Akbarally – Director Akbar Brothers Pvt Ltd and Thanuja Seneviratne – Senior IT Manager Singer Sri Lanka. The session was moderated by Joachim Johansson – Managing Director of Flinth Industrial Park.
